Hello, my name is Courtney Huddleston. Please note that I am male. That is very important if we are going to continue this little introduction, so please cut with the jokes surrounding my name.

Ok…out of your system? Good. Now, as I was saying I am a simple country boy from Tupelo, Mississippi with an inexhaustable wish to become an illustrator, but considering that the illustration business consists of people like Bernie Wrightson, Mike Kaluta, Dave Stevens, Jim Lee, and Greg Land (just to name a few), I am content with my wanna-be title. That’s o.k. though, because I have more fun in practicing my craft than most people will have in a lifetime. No kidding.

My primary job is as Talent Coordinator for Penny Farthing Press in Houston, Texas, and it is my responsibilty to harass artists until they agree to work for our company. It is sometimes a dangerous job, but no one has filed a restraining order against me. Yet. In addition to luring pencilers, inkers, colorists, cover artists, and occasionally writers to PFP, I also dabble in contract negotiations, the postal service, and deadline schedules. You may gasp at my death-defying duties and terrifying stunts…but wait there’s more.

In my spare time I work on a couple of creations of my own like Decoy, Lil’ Red Stitch, and A Bit Haywire. However, I have dozens of ideas just waiting for the right time to make an appearance since I always take on more than I can handle. But I figure it’s more fun to have too much going on than nothing at all.

As far as my influences go…well…there are none specifically. When I first started drawing, there were a few, but since I became Talent Coordinator, my handful of mentors expanded. I see the work of so many great artists that everything influences me now.

Had enough yet? Well there’s just a bit more and it’s the most important. When I’m not working or drawing, I’m usually at home playing video games or entertaining my two little daughters, Courtney, Jr., and Phoenix. I never knew making a fool of myself could be so entertaining to others. And personally, I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Now that you know about me, drop me a note and introduce yourself. I’d love to hear from you. And I promise, I won’t stalk you.
